Ruined for the Ordinary

Our ministry property is located in an area on Beardsley St. in Oildale, CA. The property historically was used as a hang out for the Hell’s Angels and a purchase point for drugs and weapons. The presence of Satan is obvious in the hold of the whole neighborhood and it’s residents through addiction, poverty, crime, and homelessness. It is a place where people go when they are so down there is no where else to go. Satan’s pull on these people came long before they made this neighborhood their home, but here in this neighborhood many feel safe and acceptable in their sin.

All things belong to God and this area needs to be re-claimed through the Holy Spirit. Every step for these people’s lives is a battle. To help them, the very air they breathe needs to be freed. Not only do lives need to be saved but deep discipleship needs to be done. It requires constant prayer and calling for Satan’s release of the land, it’s building and streets, and it’s people in their bodies and their minds. Help pray with us.

WHO WE ARE

Salvaged Lives is an adapted program of Neighborhood Transformation working with loosely knit communities of the poor and displaced. This program is designed to pull groups together and through the CHE strategy build a stronger community where they can become active citizens that will take responsibility for their lives and contribute to their neighbors. We focus on individual and local assets which promotes group cooperation and pride. Through this we encourage local church participation and sound bible teaching to foster dependence on Christ instead of outside sources.
